Advocacy and International Services

Regular Full-Time


8:00 - 5:00




Position Summary: Provides administrative and operational services for the department of Advocacy and International Services. Responsible for maintaining and updating schedules/calendars, as well as daily administrative duties including office reception coordination and triage for Language and International Services. Serves as a point of contact for language services advocates and international services coordinators and their managers. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

Required Education and Training: Associate's degree in a healthcare related and/or international field. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.  Second language preferred.

Required Experience: At least three years work experience required, preferably in a medical/clinical office. Previous experience as an administrative assistant preferred.  Financial experience preferred. Healthcare experience an asset. Ability to type between 55-60 words per minute. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and database programs.  Effective oral and written communication skills.  Must possess basic mathematical skills. Must have ability to plan, organize, and prioritize and multi-task. Proven customer service skills.
